1. Introduction
GreenSpaceAnywhere (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a content website that helps people with small spaces create green spaces. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit greenspaceanywhere.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect a limited amount of information:
- Comments you leave: if you comment on an article, WordPress asks for your name and email address (you may also share a website URL, optionally). WordPress also records your IP address and browser user agent string with your comment to help with spam detection.
- Analytics data: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (for example, which articles are read). See “Analytics” below.
- Technical data: our hosting provider’s servers may process technical information, such as IP addresses in server logs, to operate, secure, and maintain the website.
We do not run user accounts, contact forms, or newsletters on this site, so we do not collect information through those means.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This site uses cookies for:
- Comments: WordPress may set cookies to remember your name, email address, and website (if you choose the “save my details” option) so you do not have to retype them. These are for your convenience.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits and understand aggregate usage patterns.
- Performance: our caching system (LiteSpeed Cache) may use cookies or cached page copies to load the site faster.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work, such as remembering your comment details.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use GreenSpaceAnywhere in aggregate and to improve our content. GA4 collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (city or region level), device type, and how you arrived at the site.
About IP addresses: Google uses IP addresses during processing for certain functions (for example, to derive approximate geographic location), but according to Google, IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4. We do not receive or store your IP address through GA4 ourselves.

5. Comments
Comments on articles are powered by WordPress. When you leave a comment, we collect the name and email address you provide, along with your comment. Your first comment is held for moderation before it appears publicly. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public comments.
Gravatar: an anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service (provided by Automattic) to check whether you have a profile picture to display next to your comment. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): website analytics, described above.
- Google Search Console (Google LLC): a tool we use to monitor how our site appears in Google Search results. It does not track individual website visitors.
- Gravatar (Automattic Inc.): profile pictures for comments, described above.
- LiteSpeed Cache: a performance plugin running on our own server that stores cached copies of pages so the site loads faster. It does not send your personal information to third parties.
- Hostinger: our hosting provider. Their servers process the technical data needed to deliver the website (such as serving pages and keeping basic server logs for security and operation).
7. Data Retention
- Comments (including the name, email, IP address, and user agent recorded with them) are kept for as long as the related article is published, unless you ask us to remove them.
- Analytics data is retained according to Google’s data retention settings for our GA4 property.
- Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to their own policies.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at greenspaceanywhere@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
You can also:
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
- Use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.
- Choose not to leave a comment if you prefer not to share your name and email address.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including keeping our software updated and using reputable hosting and backup services. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Future Advertising and Affiliate Programs
We do not currently display advertising or participate in affiliate programs. In the future, we may introduce advertising (for example, Google AdSense) or affiliate links (for example, Amazon Associates) to support the site. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe those services and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent through a cookie consent banner before related tracking technologies load.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or services. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
